Mounir Ghabrial



Mo is a rising senior and will be serving as Co-President for the upcoming academic year. This will be his second year serving on E-Board - he was previously VP Finance. He is pursuing degrees in Accounting and Business. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, eating, playing and watching soccer, eating, traveling, and eating.  

Mo is very passionate about addressing economic inequality and looks to apply his knowledge to the endeavors that he pursues which is why Global Brigades is so near to his heart. He loves helping equip people with knowledge that could help them alleviate their surrounding poverty.


Rachel Blumenthal


Rachel Blumenthal is a senior majoring in accounting with an emphasis in international relations.  She plans to pursue a masters in accounting at USC as well as attend law school in the future.  Rachel enjoys volunteering especially with kids and demonstrates this passion through her extracurricular work as head coach for Trojan Youth Soccer League ad as the Make the Magic Co-Chair for Camp Kesem.  It was this love of volunteering, business, and traveling that drew her to Global Brigades @ Marshall her sophmore year.

GBM has taught Rachel how to navigate and be respectful of cultural differences and language
barriers as well as being able to compromise across these obstacles to understand and see issues through these new perspectives. After her incredibly rewarding experiences on the Winter Honduras Brigade of 2017, Rachel is incredibly excited and humbled to serve as Co-President for the 2018-2019 school year.


Anissa Andalon

Vice President of Operations


Anissa is a rising junior and will be serving as VP of Operations this upcoming year. She participated in the Spring 2018 trip to Nicaragua, and is excited to serve on E-board alongside many of her trip members! She is an accounting major, with an anticipated progressive Masters in Accounting. What drew her to GBM was its strong focus on service community and togetherness; she additionally is part of Troy Camp and Los Angeles Community Impact. In her free time, she loves to cook, travel and appreciate art. This summer she is interning with EY in a rotational program, and in the future she hopes to pursue a career in audit. 



Jonathan Stewart

VP of Membership Development

Jonathan is a rising senior and will be serving as VP of Membership Development this upcoming school year! This will be his second year serving on E-board. He is a Business Administration major with a minor in Nonprofits, Philanthropy, and Volunteerism. In his free time he enjoys playing and watching sports, trying out new food spots, and listening to bad soundcloud rappers. He is passionate about service and is also volunteering with Camp Kesem and 180 Degrees Consulting this year. The blend of travel, giving back, and great people is what drew him to Global Brigades at Marshall. GBM has taught Jonathan how to navigate different cultures and interact with others from all different walks of life.


Samuel Wu

Director of Corporate Sponsorship & Fundraising

Sam is a rising sophomore this coming school year and will be serving as a Co-Director of Fundraising and Sponsorship! This will be his first time serving on the E-Board and he's super excited to work with all future brigaders. Sam is an accounting major and also looking to minor in kinesiology. In Sam's free time, he likes to go on photography trips, exercise, and listening to classic and alternative rock. GBM has ignited his passion for social impact and looks forward to giving back to the club that gave him such an awesome experience working in Nicaragua. Bhaskar Suri

Director of Corporate Sponsorships & Fundraising

Bhaskar is a rising Junior and will be serving as Director of Corporate Sponsorships and
Fundraising for the upcoming school year. As a freshman, he went on his first Brigade trip to
Honduras, and loved the challenging work and great friendships he made while there. He
majors in Business Administration with an emphasis in Cinematic Arts, and a specialization in
Applied Analytics. During his spare time, he likes exploring the city, eating at hole-in-the wall
restaurants, outdoor recreation (hiking, swimming, rock-climbing), and playing poker. This
summer, he is interning at NBCUniversal in their Sales Strategy & Research division, and hopes
to pursue similar strategic planning roles in the future. GBM is the perfect club for Bhaskar
because it allows him to work with a diverse group of people, improve communities, learn about
new cultures, and create a long lasting impact.


Nathan Kim

Director of Marketing

Nathan is going into his senior year and will be serving as the Director of Marketing for the upcoming school year.  He went on his first brigade trip this past Spring Break to Nicaragua and absolutely fell in love with the program.  Nathan hopes to assist in recruiting like-minded individuals to make an impact in a community outside of their own.  

Nathan majors in Economics with a minor in Marketing and specialization in Applied Analytics.  In his free, he likes to explore farmer's markets, new restaurants, the outdoors, and art galleries.  In addition, I love to cook and play poker to kill time.    


Shivani Lokre

Director of Finance

Shivani is a rising junior and will be serving as the VP of Finance this year. She is a Business Administration major with a double minor in Applied Analytics and Global Health. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering, spending time with friends and family, and exploring Los Angeles! She deeply cares about continuing to make a social impact throughout her undergraduate studies. This past spring, she went on a brigade to Nicaragua where she was humbled by the warmth and love of the local community and their openness to learn and adopt new ways of conducting business practices.Being able to combine her passion for helping others and her interest in consulting made her want to be a part of GBM. The organization has given her an enriching lifetime experience and she hopes that she can continue to share and spread GBM’s mission to more students at USC. This summer, she’s interning at Swiss Re, a global reinsurance company in the Sales & Analytics division. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in social entrepreneurship.


Shrada Jain

Trip Lead

I’m Shradha Jain, I’m a senior from Bangalore, India. I’m a trip lead this year, I’ve been involved with GBM since my freshman year. For GBM, I’m excited to see my trip go from being strangers to family, this transition happens with travel, laughter and humility, and I’m looking forward to facilitating that. I’m a double major in Religion and Business. She's very passionate about business operations and aspires to run her own social enterprise version of Amazon one day. Shradha was born and brought up in Bangalore, India and intends on going back to start her own social enterprise after her education. One of her key values is to be incessantly curious and let that curiosity allow you to listen. This value allows her to explore her interests in ideologies and human responses that have shaped societies in the past and the present. Apart from Global Brigades, Shradha is involved in Sigma Eta Pi (Entrepreneurship fraternity) and the Interfaith council on campus. GBM has given Shradha a sense of humility and empathy as well as a loving community. I’m currently working at Machine Learning startup in the Bay Area called Falkonry. 


Sabrina Chugh

Trip Lead

Sabrina is a rising junior and will be serving as Trip Lead for the 2018-2019 year! She is a Business Administration Major, minoring in political science. In her free time she enjoys hiking, reading good books, hanging out with friends, and trying new food spots. Her first year in Global Brigades allowed her to meet amazing people and have a fantastic experience in Nicaragua. She hopes to give the team she travels with in this year’s brigade an awesome and fulfilling trip,
along with spreading the word about Global Brigades and its purpose.


Manda Bwerevu

Trip Lead

I am going to be a trip lead this upcoming academic school year and I am over the roof with excitement! I will be responsible for organizing the logistics for pre-departure paperwork and so forth. An interesting fact about me is that I speak four languages: French, Swahili, English, and Spanish. I will be a junior this year and I am a double major in Communications and Philosophy, Politics, and Law. I am also a senator part of our Undergraduate Student Government on campus so find me out and about! :)


This past summer I got to travel to Israel and Palestine with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and shortly after traveled to London, Paris, Madrid, and Berlin with the amazing International Communications Studies program at USC Annenberg. I cannot wait to meet you all!
